Satu Järvinen

Responsible for setting global educational service strategy and implementing innovative digital learning solutions to create access to quality education worldwide. With a strong belief that technology gives students unprecedented advantages for learning and cultivating critical skills Ms Järvinen works with local and global partners to develop and effectively deploy education solutions for all learners and educators.
Her expertise includes designing learning environments and delivering innovative professional development programs. Ms Järvinen has been involved in projects aiming at capacity building and raising human capital through VET or K-12 education development in a number of EU and non-EU countries. Mrs. Järvinen was educated in Senegal, Finland and France. She has wide experience from working with education and development in different types of schools ranging from primary schools to university level.
Jerker Polso
Assistant Principal/ Doctoral Candidate
Mr. Polso’s expertise includes pedagogical leadership, special education, and teachers’ professional development. His background is in special education and educational management. In addition to teaching at all levels of the Finnish education system from kindergarten to university, Mr Polso has worked with teachers’ continuing education in Finland and abroad in various positions for over 10 years. He has trained Finnish principals and teachers at the Institute of Educational Leadership and taught international master’s degree students in educational leadership in the University of Jyväskylä.
Mr Polso holds a Master’s Degree in Education and MBA in Educational Leadership. He is currently working on his doctorate combining educational leadership and teachers’ professional development meanwhile retaining his position as Assistant Principal of the Vaajakumpu Comprehensive School.

“Joy of learning!” offers focus on practical learning by doing and accumulating hands-on experience of the participants. You will learn to apply modern pedagogical tools in your work. The focus of these programmes will be on the “how” – that is, in what practically happens in the classroom, how to make learning playful and joyful. Constant learning, continuous development and enhancement of your professional development will also benefit the students.

One of the objectives of the training is to familiarize participant in real-life settings with the key elements of the success factors leading to top quality in education.
The objective of the proposed outcomes and hence impact on the educational practices in the school is to train students to adapt to working in the modern society, equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies to continue their lifelong learning path.
