Differentiated learning

Before we move on, let’s pause and think briefly about what we are going to cover in the rest of the course. In Part 2 we’ll take a big picture view and explore what a differentiated lesson looks like in practice. Then, in Parts 3-5 we’ll look at how you can differentiate for learners by making learning just a little bit simpler and more accessible – first by breaking up the cognitive load, then by modelling and scaffolding. In Parts 6 and 7 we’ll explore how to differentiate two of the most important aspects of your communication, questioning and feedback, before finally, in Parts 8 and 9, looking at techniques you can use to differentiate for your most-able learners.

The program is particularly suited to school leaders, heads of department and teachers.
